My Coachella (baechella) themed baby shower was an actual dream for me, I can’t believe how well everything came together on the day! Despite the rainy weather it was still the fun, bright shower I dreamed it to be! I love baby showers but sometimes they can be a snooze and I really wanted to steer away from the traditional shower, I just wanted my guests to have fun! I wanted to put in the effort for them as I appreciated them taking the time to come and celebrate with me and shower me with beautiful gifts for this growing baby girl. All in all I am positive that everyone had an amazing time and all the effort that went in to putting it together was so worth it! But I couldn’t have done it alone, I was so lucky to work with some incredible Brisbane based business’ that I can’t recommend enough! So Let’s get into it!

The seating and tables – MAEFLOWER PICNICS

Megan is the wonderful lady behind Maeflower picnics which is a Brisbane based business that specializes in event styling and picnics. Maeflower picnics provided all of the tables, plates, glass wear, cutlery, decor, rugs and cushions around the tables. They arrived 2 hours before the party and set everything up, I didn’t have to do a thing! The Tables were a hot spot for the party and having the dinner wear meant I didn’t have to buy any plastic plates cutting our waste/rubbish by so much!
I loved these wooden tables too for a different look then pallets, we loved that we could sit at them and put our legs under them as well. We used 5 tables for the party and there was plenty of room for 30 or so guests, highly recommend!

The Dessert table – MY ALTER EGO CATERING

This isn’t the first time I’ve used the services from My Alter Ego Catering and there really is only one reason for that, they are the BEST IN BRISBANE!  I cannot recommend a food catering company more highly! This is the first time I’ve done a dessert table for a party and it will not be the last, this was the HIT of the party, The chocolate fountain had it’s work cut out for it, everything they put together was absolutely stunning to  look at and mouth watering to eat, It’s almost been a week since the party and I’m still thinking about the banana bread dipped in the chocolate fountain, yummm!

Dessert Cups – The Cheesecake Shop

I love cheesecake & chocolate mousse and knew that I needed to add that to the party, The Cheesecake shop brought our their dessert cup range last Valentines Day and they were so delicious and such a hit they a year later they’re still here! And Thank God because they’re the best things ever! And the mini cakes are to die! I noticed people taking the mini cakes to the tables and putting them on a share plate, every girls dream!

The Flower Arrangements – a wandering wild flower

The Beautiful flower displays were done by the very talented Kayla from a wandering wild flower which is a Brisbane based business that specializes in handmade wreaths and floral arrangements. Kayla put together the spread on the table’s and it really brought the whole room to life! Not to mention the extra sparkle she added to my bathroom! The flower’s were gorgeous and we even used them the next day for a milk bath maternity shoot!
If you’re wanting to add some extra va va voom to your next event invest in real flowers! It makes such a difference!

The Balloons & Garland – Parties Made Pretty

All of the incredible Balloons were purchased from Parties Made Pretty which is based in Perth but has an online store that you can shop from. The Balloon garland comes ready to set up with balloons, wire and instructions. I used an air compressor to fill the balloons, we then tied two balloons together at a time and wrapped the wire around them to link them together. We had SO many a balloons we were able to make two garlands out of it! The Baby Girl balloon was used for the dessert table was also from Parties Made pretty. Balloons really make any party theme pop!

Extra Details

Outfit Details – Dress was a vintage piece borrowed from a beautiful friend.
I wore the Rae Edge tie front crop and Frenchie Knit shorts from Coven and Co underneath and the my shoes were Seed Heritage. All of my jewellery was purchased from Collette.

Custom Baechella Mirror – Was designed by tleaf collections and custom, you can get any wording you like!

Ferris wheel – The Ferris wheel was custom made by my beautiful friends husband, I knew for it to really be a coachella themed party we just had to have some kind of Ferris wheel and he really out did himself!

Baechella chocolates – The Custom chocolate bars were supplied by Print and Party, I think customising things like chocolates or even water bottle and drink labels can really add to a party to make it your own and really bring out your theme! I highly recommend Print and Party for the little chocolates, Anna custom created this label for me and it was perfect!

Extra’s

I wanted something fun for my guest’s so I created a photo room in the kids Playroom, we installed the second balloon garland with some letter balloons to spell BAECHELLA (from Big W) and put in a ring light. Then i attached my little canon Gx-7 camera on top and set it to a 5 second timer and it was there all  night for people to use. There were about 150+ photos by the end of the night and they were hilarious!

And that about sums it all up! A huge thank you to everyone who helped contribute to this day.

also, a special thanks to my good friend Jaimi who spent the whole day setting up with me and doing my hair.
I wouldn’t have gotten it all done with out you!

Lastly, another thanks to my darling friend Harmony who spent a good 2 hours shopping with me to get supplies, who did the most incredible job on my make up and who hired her hubby out to me to create the post epic party statement.

What a night! #BAECHELLA
